Sichuan Takin

Range: Western China
Takin inhabit the same dense bamboo forests as the betterknown giant panda. Habitat loss and over hunting for food and fur has led to their decline in the wild. Scientists from the Wilds have been working in China to help research and track these animals so we can better understand the biology of this species.
