HORSEBACK SAFARI
Horseback Safari tours are for guests who love wildlife and are looking for a new adventure. These rides take guests on a journey along the beautiful hillsides of the Wilds overlooking rare and endangered animal species roaming in large, natural settings.
Tours are approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour in length and travel along hillsides overlooking breathtaking landscapes with spectacular views of safari areas and habitats. Both novice and experienced riders will enjoy this unique ride! Before or after your Horseback Safari, enjoy a visit to the Wilds Gift Market and Overlook Cafe, or stroll through the Wilds' Butterfly Habitat.
Rates
Horseback Safaris are $30 per person and $25 for Wilds members.
Requirements and Restrictions
- Minimum age for riders is 9 and those under 18 must be accompanied by adults.
- Minimum weight for riders is 70 lbs. and maximum is 250 lbs.

June through September
*Advance reservations are recommended as space is limited. Horseback Safaris typically run rain or shine. For the safety of our guests and horses, Wilds staff will determine whether rides will occur daily. Extreme heat, severe storms or a slippery trail due to excessive rain are all safety concerns and may cause a postponement or cancellation of rides. If the Wilds postpones or cancels the ride we will discuss alternatives for the riders. We recommend comfortable footwear and casual clothing (dress for the weather). Closed-toe shoes required (sandals and flip-flops not permitted). .
