Bactrian Camels are one of the most severely threatened large mammal species.

These camels are critically endangered due to breeding with domesticated camels, hunting, and habitat loss. The domestic Bactrian camels at The Wilds have participated in studies to test tracking collars for use on wild Bactrian camels.
