Bring The Wilds to Your Classroom!

At The Wilds, we believe in the power of hands-on learning to spark curiosity and inspire the next generation of environmental stewards. Our unique educational programs are tailored for 2nd - 4th grade students and are designed to seamlessly integrate English Language Arts and Science Standards. Through interactive activities and engaging games, your students will explore fascinating topics that bring the natural world to life in your classroom. 

  • Each session is thoughtfully crafted to provide a memorable educational experience that encourages curiosity and critical thinking.
  • With a maximum of 35 students per session and a commitment to providing dynamic and enriching content, The Wilds offers the perfect opportunity for young learners to explore the wonders of wildlife without leaving the classroom. 
  • Our programs are accessible and adaptable, making them an ideal supplement to your existing curriculum.

Program Choices

There is a three-week minimum to book these programs. Each session has a maximum participant number of 35. For additional questions or to assist in booking, please reach out to education@thewilds.org.

Bug Out!

This one-hour program incorporates hands-on games and activities incorporating English Language Arts and Science Standards to educate 2nd - 4th graders about the difference between bugs and insects, basic insect body parts, life cycles, and more. 

  • $35 per class session
  • Federal mileage rate will be applied to classes outside of Muskingum, Guernsey, Morgan, and Noble counties. 
  • Note: No live animals are incorporated into this program.

Endangered Species

This one-hour program incorporates hands-on games and activities incorporating English Language Arts and Science Standards to educate 2nd - 4th grade students about endangered species worldwide and in Ohio. Learn about the exotic endangered species managed at The Wilds, native endangered species, what causes them to become endangered, and what can be done or is being done to protect them.

  • $35 per class session
  • Federal mileage rate will be applied to classes outside of Muskingum, Guernsey, Morgan, and Noble counties.
  • Note: No live animals are incorporated into this program.

Feathers, Fur, and Scales

This one-hour program incorporates hands-on games and activities incorporating English Language Arts and Science Standards to educate 2nd - 4th grade students about animal coverings, the differences between mammals, birds, and reptiles/amphibians and understand how these different coverings help them survive in different environments.

This one-hour program incorporates hands-on games and activities incorporating English Language Arts and Science Standards to educate 2nd - 4th grade students about nocturnal and diurnal animals, how they communicate and adapt to living at night.
