A Safe and Enjoyable Experience for All Guests

Welcome to the Hellbender RV Campground, where adventure, relaxation, and nature come together. We’ve put together some important guidelines as you prepare for your trip, so please take a moment to review them. These policies help us maintain a clean, safe, and friendly environment for everyone.

Main Hellbender RV Campground Page Dog Park Policies

Alcohol, Smoking, and Firearms
  • Alcohol consumption is prohibited in recreational/community areas, including the camp store, dog park, pavilion, shower houses, and overflow parking lot as well as at The Wilds while on safaris or tours. 
  • Alcohol may be consumed at your rented campsite and in designated areas of The Wilds. 
  • No fireworks, explosives, firearms, etc. permitted on site, except during the Ohio permitted firearm hunting season. 
  • During the hunting season, firearms must stay locked in vehicles. 
  • The Wilds is a smoke, drug, and marijuana-free facility.

Failure to comply may result in removal from the campground with no refund. 

Campsite and Occupation Requirements
  • The collection of firewood is prohibited within the area of The Wilds property, including the Hellbender Campground. Firewood is available for purchase in the camp store. 
  • Limit of eight people per site.
  • Up to three tents are allowed per site if they sit five feet from each other and sit ten feet from neighboring sites. 
  • Two vehicles are allowed per site. Any extra vehicles (including trailers) must be parked in the overflow car park.
  • Do not leave trash on your campsite or in your fire rings. There are dumpsters and recycling bins throughout the campground for trash disposal. 
  • Disrespectful behavior, such as vulgarity, intoxication, line jumping, theft, and all other actions that negatively impact our guests will not be tolerated and may result in ejection from the park without a refund.
Check In and Check Out
  • Check-in starts at 3 pm. 
  • Check out time must be by 1 pm. 
  • Late check out is 2 pm and must be arranged with camp store staff by the end of the previous day.
     
Pets
  • Limit of 2 pets per campsite. 
  • You must clean up after your pet. Pet waste clean-up stations are available throughout the campground.
  • No bathing of pets in shower houses. 
  • Pets should not be left unattended at your campsite for more than 4 hours. Proper shelter, water, food, and temperature control measures must be provided. 
  • Barking for more than thirty minutes without pause and/or signs of aggression may result in the removal of pets. 
  • All pets must be on a leash when in the campground. The dog park is the only area where pets are permitted off-leash. Only dogs are allowed in the dog park.
Quiet Time and Visitors
  • To ensure a relaxing stay for all guests, quiet time is 10:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. 
  • All visitors who are not staying overnight must leave by 10:00 p.m.
Recreation Vehicles and Traffic

Bikes, golf carts, and side-by-sides are permitted at the campground, with the following rules:

  • All vehicles must follow traffic signage (stop signs, yield signs, speed signs, etc.).
  • All vehicles must stay on designated pathways.
  • Stay off grassy areas. The campground is not an off-road facility.
Stay Length

Guests can stay up to two weeks in a thirty-day period.

Technology and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (Drones)

In conjunction with The Wilds' policy, drones are not permitted to fly at the campground or over The Wilds' property.
